In order to keep up with students’ expectations for a faster network experience, Duke University, Clemson University, Auburn University at Montgomery, University of South Florida and Georgia Southern University partnered with Apogee.
Apogee, a residential network (ResNet) and video provider, will work with the five universities to evolve their current systems into “state-of-the-art video and/or residential networks.”
According to a statement by Apogee, the network upgrade will give students an “at-home access feel.”
“In order for students to seize the opportunities created by an increasingly-connected world, higher education institutions must now provide reliable data and video network capabilities that seamlessly adapt and scale to changing student demand,” said Charles Brady, CEO at Apogee, in a previous statement. “Our team at Apogee is proud to offer our partner schools the full range of capabilities and support from the get go, enabling campus leadership to control costs, stay competitive, and improve student recruitment and retention.”
