According to the report, “Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Market Analysis – By Components (Sensors, Memory, Processors, RFID); By End Use Industry (Manufacturing, Transportation, Energy, Retail, Healthcare, Agriculture) – Forecast (2016 – 2021)”, published by IndustryARC, the Industrial IoT (IIoT) Market is estimated to reach $123.89 Billion by 2021 at a high CAGR.
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is a new phase for global industrial transformation powered by technological innovations to improve operational efficiencies. This technology is expected to generate economic opportunities and reshape several industries, as well as transform companies and countries with an era of renewed economic growth and competitiveness. With Industrial IoT, which works at the intersection of people, data and intelligent machines is expected to have a positive impact on productivity, efficiency and operations of industries. IIoT will enable companies to boost revenues by increasing production through creating new business models and will exploit intelligent technologies driving innovation.
It’s a booming sector of the business—one that shouldn’t be ignored. To help industries in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand get a leg up on the IIoT, Inovonics has developed the EN4080 IP gateway.
“With the launch of our IP gateway, customers remove system complexity, gaining a seamless path to drive their IIoT monitoring applications,” says Scott Fincher, senior product manager at Inovonics. “No longer do they need to source third-party IP gateways, develop custom integrations or deal with serial to IP interfaces. Instead, they source a single product from Inovonics, with the world-class customer support they’ve come to expect.”
When combined with the Inovonics Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol license, customers can push Inovonics EchoStream data directly into Amazon Web Services cloud applications to support their IIoT commercial monitoring applications. MQTT is a widely adopted ISO standard, ISO/IEC PRF 20922, publish-subscribe-based messaging protocol.
Features for the IP gateway with the MQTT license configuration include:
- Combination of EchoStream serial receiver functionality and an IP gateway into a single product.
- Optional power over Ethernet feature.
- Support of over-the-air updates.
- Compatible with all Inovonics EchoStream one-way transmitters.
- External LEDs indicate power, IP connectivity and message receipt.
