Atlona recently unveiled the AT-HDVS-210H-TX-WP wall plate switcher, the latest offering in its growing array of connectivity options for HDBaseT AV installations.

The HDVS-210H-TX-WP features two HDMI inputs and combines 2×1 auto-switching, integrated display control and HDBaseT signal transmission in a single-gang form factor.

The new wall plate switcher is now shipping and will make its exhibition debut alongside other Atlona products in stand 5-U80 at ISE 2018 in Amsterdam in February.

The HDVS-210H-TX-WP “supports video up to 4K/UHD at 60 Hz with 4:2:0 chroma subsampling or 30 Hz with 4:4:4 subsampling, and is HDCP 2.2 compliant for compatibility with protected content,” according to the Atlona press release.

Automatic input selection and display control intelligently switch between the unit’s two inputs and power up compatible displays when a presentation device is connected.

Input switching, audio volume, and display power can also be controlled via RS-232 or TCP/IP commands for control system integration.

The new switcher can transmit video, embedded audio, power and control signals up to 330 feet (100 meters), with power supplied remotely by the receiver via Power over Ethernet (PoE).

The HDVS-210H-TX-WP “pairs seamlessly with Atlona’s AT-UHD-EX-100CE-RX-PSE receiver, HDVS series of receivers and scalers, and HDBaseT-equipped switchers such as the CLSO Series of presentation switchers,” according to the press release.

The HDVS-210H-TX-WP has dual-input capabilities into a U.S. one-gang, Decora-style wall plate form factor and includes interchangeable black and white trim kits, minimizing space requirements while enabling inconspicuous installation on a wall, in furniture, or in a floor box.

Power, input and link indicators provide visual confirmation of signal status. It’s also available as the AT-HDVS-210H-TX-WP-EMEA-KIT that’s packaged with a 1-gang new construction bracket for use internationally where U.S. junction boxes are not available.

“End-users and systems integrators enjoy the convenient access of wall or furniture-embedded AV connections, but want the connectivity points to be as subtle and inconspicuous as possible,” said Steve Kolta, product manager at Atlona.

“By offering two HDMI inputs, rich functionality and robust integration features in a single-gang design, the HDVS-210H-TX-WP achieves these small-footprint goals while delivering exceptional value for classrooms, huddle rooms and meeting spaces,” he says.

Like other Atlona HDVS series products, the HDVS-210H-TX-WP can be remotely configured and managed over a network with the free Atlona Management System (AMS 2.0) software, and integrates tightly with the Atlona Velocity control platform. Atlona’s 10-year limited product warranty is included.

Additional wall plate models are also available for customers and integrators with broader input requirements such as analog VGA or USB-C connectivity.
