Florida A&M University opened a satellite campus in Crestview Florida. Pharmacy students can now take classes via a Cisco TelePresence unit. All lectures are recorded with the Cisco TelePresence Conference Server. Also included as distance learning technology are Shure lapel microphones, two LD HDTV Flat-screen TVs, and HD Epson projector and Polycom HDX Array ceiling microphones.

West Virginia University (WVU) uses digital signage for emergency notifications on campus. Their digital signage is a combination of Samsung displays and other vendors. X20 media provides the content management platform WVU uses to both manage and create its digital signage content. The displays are placed in high traffic areas like dorms, meeting spaces and dining halls and are tied to e2campus which the university uses for emergency text alerts allowing campus police to trigger the signage via SMS. Alerts are also sent to the WVU homepage as well as the campus TV network.

The University of Idaho purchased six Hitachi Z-HD5000 cameras to move to HD video production. Other broadcast equipment includes a NewTek Tricaster 855 switcher, NewTek 3Play 820HD replay system and Sony HVR1500A HDV/DVCAM VTR, Hitachi CU-HD500 camera control units and Hitachi 1000VR remote control units.
