MobileDay, creator of the one-tap conference call dialing app, today announced the release of Push, a new feature for MobileDay Business. The new update enables individuals, teams and entire organizations to dial into a conference call with one touch via their mobile phones and then redirect the call to the device of their choice, including conference room Polycoms, Cisco conference phones and traditional desk phones. New app updates also enable MobileDay Business users to place calls over WiFi networks when available for better connectivity.
In addition to enhancing flexibility in workforce communications, Push eliminates particularly disruptive practices that many busy employees are guilty of on a regular basis. With a schedule packed with back-to-back meetings, it is not uncommon to dial-in to a conference call while in the car, rushing back to the office. With Push, once the user reaches the office, he or she can quickly redirect the call to a conference room phone, simultaneously sharing the call with their team and benefitting from the superior audio quality of the land line.
“Nobody dials or even remembers phone numbers anymore – on your personal phone it’s all about tapping to connect to contacts through a sleek, easy interface,” says Howard Diamond, CEO, MobileDay. “While consumer technology seamlessly made this transition away from the dialing process, conference calling still operates around keypads, numbers and pins. MobileDay has demonstrated a greater than 90 percent success rate for users joining conference calls via the app, compared to the industry standard of 60-70 percent. While competitors rely exclusively on algorithms and machine learning, MobileDay owes its performance and reliability, in part, to human involvement, removing or correcting inaccurate contact information erroneously added to a calendar invite and manually correcting other factors that could contribute to misdialed calls.
Push is currently available for iPhone users, and an Android version will soon follow. To utilize the Push functionality, MobileDay Business users can easily add any device that has a dialer to their app settings. At that point, the app will automatically recognize pre-programmed devices and will prompt users to redirect conference calls based on device proximity. This release marks another major milestone for MobileDay, following the launch of MobileDay Business in May and recently reaching its 10 millionth call.
