ProPresenter is a cross-platform lyric and media presentation package built specifically to make high-quality live productions easy. ProPresenter operators control presentation on one screen, while dynamically presenting to an audience on one or more additional outputs. This means there is no separate ‘edit mode’ or ‘presentation mode.’ Outputs are always live, and editing of one presentation can be done while another is being viewed. Originally designed for houses of worship, ProPresenter has become a go-to for media presentations and corporate events, among other venues. ProPresenter 6 adds a slew of capabilities to the already powerful presentation software.

“The software was built to play back video well, and to show graphics. The ability to show graphics and video is a need for any market,” says Brad Weston, President of Renewed Vision. “As far as the interface and the engine go, it is an ever present need in any kind of meeting or conference, worship or otherwise, that you’ve got to have the ability to make decisions on the fly, to not go in a linear fashion through your slides, to not exit out of one presentation before you go to the next. The idea of having control of your entire library of resources at a moment’s notice is a need that’s existed in any kind of gathering or presentation since I started the software 16 years ago.”

ProPresenter offers high-quality video output. You can import and play videos instantly in ProPresenter, with the ability to set in and out points dynamically, effect color, brightness, and volume, and crop/zoom videos dynamically from right within the software. A multi-layered architecture allows for backgrounds, live video layers, slides, props, and masks to be controlled independently.

The ProPresenter 6 multi-layered architecture allows for properties to be controlled independently.

ProPresenter was designed from the beginning to allow beginners to feel confident in running the software with only a few minutes of training, and all training is available free online via video tutorials you can access before you even purchase the software. Templates to ensure content looks right, creation and editing tools allow you to build slides with a variety of elements, and hot folders facilitate getting content into the software quickly.

In addition to these capabilities, the ProPresenter 6 upgrades will introduce even more functionality to the system. First, the addition of HTML5 Support allows web objects to be added as a slide element. A scrolling text ticket can be added to a slide to display text from sources including local text files or RSS feeds. Telestrator functionality allows you to draw on your slides or videos dynamically, either right on the computer or via the ProPresenter Remote iOS app. A scheduler can set specific playlists to start and stop at specific dates and times. With the new Cue Pallette, you can assign a cue to any slide with drag and drop functionality. Cues can start or stop a timer, change Stage Display or Multiscreen layouts, trigger audio, video, or live video, or clear any layer ProPresenter is outputting. Finally, ProPresenter 6 adds Instagram support, and enhances twitter support to allow an operator to approve social media for display from their iPhone.

“Yes, [ProPresenter] was originally designed for churches,” says Weston, “But there’s a lot of applicability for any place where you need the ability to create dynamic presentations.”
