NEC Display Solutions of America has announced a new generation of V Series multimedia projectors, the V311X (XGA) and the V311W (WXGA). Both have 3100 lumens and are designed for classrooms or small meeting rooms.
The new projectors provide higher brightness to accommodate larger screen sizes or rooms with more ambient light. The V311X and the V311W weigh 5.5 pounds each and provide up to 5,000 hours of lamp life in Eco Mode. The new projectors have a power management feature that allows them to turn off automatically when no incoming signal is detected from any of the inputs.
Both projectors have a quick start up time that takes about three seconds, auto power-on via the RGB input connector and direct power-off with no cooling required after shutdown. The new V Series projectors do not require a filter. A full list of specifications can be found on the NEC website.
The V311X and V311W will be available in October 2013 and will ship with a two-year limited warranty. The lamps are covered for 1 year or 500 hours, which ever comes first. Star Student customers can receive an additional two years on their warranties with product registration.
