Christie

Christie debuted its brand new Boxer 4K30 projector at ISE 2015. The Boxer is unrivaled in brightness for its weight, boasting 30,000 lumens at 150 pounds. Features include at-a-glance source and status updates on lamp hours, voltage, temperature, warnings, or errors from the projector, a smartphone, or a web browser. The projector is designed for high-impact rental staging and large venue events and is available for order, to be shipped around May/June of 2015.

Stewart Filmscreen

Stewart Filmscreen announced their new LuminEsse screen at ISE 2015. With an elegant 3/8-inch thin bezel, LuminEsse fits modern expectations for more screen size and less visible framing system while providing a sleek appearance, even when not being viewed. The LuminEsse front-projection wall screen features an optional LED backlighting kit to make viewing more comfortable. The LED lighting acts as bias lighting, relaxing the iris of the eye and causing less strain during extended viewing. LuminEsse is compatible with any of Stewart’s 4K+ front-projection screen materials.

Dynascan

CORIOgrapher is a design software that works with CORIOmatrix and CORIOmatrix mini to provide 3 levels of access to content and interface. Even offline, CORIOgrapher software aids in the design process of video walls by allowing creation from a PX without a connection to the CORIOmaster. When connected, the software automatically seeks out CORIOmaster devices to sync.

Analog Way

Analog Way’s Ascender 48 is a powerful multi-screen seamless switcher equipped with 48 scaler engines. The Ascender 48 was shown at ISE 2015 endowed with a new operating mode: the Perspective Layers. Available as an option for all Ascender 48 units including units already in the field, Perspective Layers allows animation of live layers with a virtual viewing perspective in real time with X, Y, Z axis rotation control. In Perspective mode, the Ascender 48 can display up to 3 Perspective Layers per output plus a native background. The Perspective Layers can support the same seamless transition effects as any other layer.

It supports several inputs and outputs including HDMI/DVI, remote HDMI/DVI over CAT 5e/6 using HDBaseT technology, SDI, and remote HDMI/SDI over fiber. Each of the eight slots can be a different type of card, including a clean switch output.

Integrated Systems Europe is the largest pan-European showcase for professional AV and electronic systems integration. Taking up every hall in one of the largest meeting and convention centers in the world, the Amsterdam RAI, ISE is a vast showcase of incredible technology used in every venue from residential spaces to concerts and presentation halls.

With so many companies from all around the world showcasing, not everything is going to apply (or be available) for the United States’ market. However, with the world becoming increasingly global, and with so many businesses operating in countries all over the world, plenty of the technology being showcased is going to be of interest to customers in the U.S.

Included are some great and innovative display screens, projectors, and all of the technological pieces that go into capturing and distributing video. At the end of day one, here are nine video and display technologies that stood out at ISE 2015.
