In the interview above, TechDecisions had a chance to talk with Kai Tossing, the product manager of the Integrated Systems Division of Sennheiser at InfoComm 2012. Sennheiser’s booth showcased the first AVB compatible mic. It is not ready for production yet, but the technology behind this prototype microphone sets a new standard for the future of AVB.
With the microphone in the back ground, Tossing shared his insight on AVB and where AVB is going.
“I would like to point out the benefits of AVB as a future technology,” Tossing says, “The AV network of the future will be every device connected to one network. It could be a microphone, it could be a projector and so on.”
