New Zoom Phone Appliances

The popular cloud-based video communications software developer Zoom has introduced Zoom Phone Appliances that provide both Zoom Phone and Meeting capabilities. These new devices will enable users to collaborate effortlessly using premium video, audio, and content sharing capabilities.

Zoom will introduce three models – the Poly CCX 660 with camera, the Poly CCX 700 with camera kit, as well as the Yealink VP59, designed for C-levels and those with high video collaboration demands.

All models will be plug and play. All users will have to do is log into their account via their web browser, with their Zoom credentials, and enter a pairing code for authentication and setup. They can begin to make phone calls and start or join video meetings immediately. One can turn a phone call into a Zoom meeting using the devices touchscreen.

The phone capabilities of the new models are very similar to most office phones (i.e. Caller ID, call history, voicemail, call blocking), but with added collaboration capabilities like content sharing, in meeting chat, recording, and a whiteboard feature. There is also going to be a calendar integration and corporate directory feature, and ever more to come.

If you’re looking to purchase these new phones, be sure to look for the Zoom Certified Badge on the hardware. The badge indicates the hardware has gone through extensive testing alongside third-party labs to ensure high-quality, reliable communications experience.

If your company already has existing Poly CCX 600 or CCX 700 devices or the YeaLink VP59, Zoom can help you convert them to the new phone appliances.
