NEC Display Solutions X464UNS Video Wall

With an ultra-narrow bezel design of just 3.5mm between neighboring displays, commercial-grade brightness and Ultra HD TileMatrix support, the X464UNS display delivers brilliant imagery and a 3840 x 2160 UHD resolution across an entire video wall. Its direct LED-backlighting also delivers improved brightness uniformity, reduced power consumption and mercury-free components. In addition, Auto TileMatrix features allow a user to simply set up the size of the video wall on the first display and automatically scale the content through the remaining displays. With the press of a few buttons, the entire video wall is set up. The result is faster installation, which reduces costs and improves the customer experience.

AppSpace Play

Play is an Appspace extension that allows users to create, manage and playback IPTV applications. Users are able to manage their Play applications and contents through Appspace and display them on the Cisco Edge 340 digital media player. Content can be divided into channels and on demand. Channels are live video feeds that are encoded and delivered in the form of IP streams. Streaming format support for channels is device dependent. Users are required to define and configure channels with the IP stream together with its associated EPG data, logo and channel display name, which will be covered in the later sections. On demand content refers to content that resides in the Appspace Library or various external sources. Users are required to define and configure on demand folders containing on demand contents together with its associated folder icon and folder name.

Visix MeetingMinder Signs

MeetingMinder interactive rooms signs are a line of products from Visix for room management. Touch interactive room signs lets companies create, import, schedule and publish a wide of range of digital media, mass alerts and calendar schedules directly to room signs. The signs will automatically update from a number of calendar data sources and glow red or green depending on availability. Connect room signs are standalone versions that allow for booking of meetings at a cheaper price point. E-Paper signs offer an economical choice for displaying room schedules, and are wireless and battery-powered for easy mounting ability.

wePresent WiPG SharePod

wePresent is a professional wireless presentation system that allows up to 64 users to collaborate and give a wireless interactive presentation from their Windows/Mac computer, smartphone or tablet. Watch a video about the system

to learn more about how it works.

The SharePod is an accessory to the system that lets users simply connect through any HDMI and automatically pair with the system without downloading any software. It’s a great way to incorporate BYOD into an already impressive presentation system.

Chief Fusion Wall Mounts

Chief offers a full line of wall mounts for displays as well as mounts for projectors. At CorpComm Expo the company showed off the Fusion line of video conferencing solutions. The accessory kits include everything you need for a BYOD video conferencing solution, including the ability to install a HD camera accessory above or below the display, easy USB connectivity, and compatibility with any peer to peer software.

NanoLumens Nano-Curve LED Displays

NanoLumens offers a number of solutions for large LED Displays. What allows the company to stand out is the flawless Nano-curve displays that they showed off at the CorpComm Expo. A cylinder display hanging above the booth showed the ability of the company to create smooth LED displays, but NanoLumens really shines through a number of custom-built curve displays they showed off using an interactive display screen at the booth. A NanoCurve LED display offers a strong long term investment, with low maintenance costs and energy needs, while fitting curves of existing architecture or adding interest to a boring, boxy space.

Peerless AV Mobile Video Conferencing Cart

The SR555M SmartMount Flat Panel Video Conferencing Cart has been designed to include all of the features you may need, making it perfect for any location. The mobility of the cart eliminates the need for multiple video conference systems, lowering your overall system cost. The structure is optimized to hold two 40-inch to 55-inch displays, providing clear visibility for all participants. The camera locates anywhere above either display, for near perfect eye contact during meetings. Additionally, the integrated cable management contains and conceals unsightly cables, helping you complete a clean and professional installation.

inLighten StudioPro Creation Software

InLighten showed off its StudioPro creation software for digital signage. The platform is intuitive, feature rich, and user friendly. The platform can incorporate live media including youtube and twitter, can feature automatic updating of live content, and is agnostic in terms of systems it is compatible with. Regardless of your digital signage solution, StudioPro can be used to create content. The system offers extensive editing capabilities, offers thousands of effects and transitions, and features text, audio, graphic and video management. The system is designed to allow end users to be easily trained to quickly create content, and capabilities for them to become expert content creators.

ClearOne Spontania Media Collaboration Software

Spontania collaboration cloud replaces expensive and complex infrastructure. It allows dozens to thousands of users to collaborate in real-time, sharing high-quality voice, video and data on any device from cell phones to standards-based group systems. Features include incorporation of multimedia devices and standards-based endpoints, integration to the workflow, instant messaging, web conferencing, user directory, whiteboarding, and IP PBX and call center integration. Ultimately, the system offers an intuitive way to marry collaboration and conferencing throughout an enterprise, managed on the cloud, giving users the ability to manage the session, record, and even choose which screen they wish to view at a given time. It’s a powerful system.

CorpComm Expo had their inaugural event at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta last week and the event went over very well to the end user audience. The event is the world’s first and only conference and trade show exclusively dedicated to showcasing digital communications technology and education that specifically serves the needs of corporate professionals. Professional end user attendance included C-level and middle management professionals in Corporate Communications Marketing, HR, IT, Administration, Construction & Planning, Business Services and a number of other professionals with oversight for internal digital communications technologies.

CorpComm Expo is produced and presented by Exponation, LLC, the same show management team that has successfully produced Digital Signage Expo (DSE) since 2004 and in fewer than a dozen years has grown that event to be the premiere industry and trade show in its category. With a high potential for future growth, and an attendance that includes the exact audience that attends our site, naturally Corporate TD was excited to attend the event.

Exhibitors at the show included a number of companies showing off corporate communications technologies, as well as a long list of expert-lead sessions intended to educate and inform the corporate attendees in digital signage strategies and corporate communication considerations. After speaking with several of the exhibitors at the event, the overall belief was that the quality of attendees was of great benefit to companies that were showing their products. Many attendees came from the exact customer-base these companies intended products for, which has been a concern at many trade shows with varied attendance bases. On the flip side, attendees were glad to have an exhibitor base targeted specifically to their needs, rather than hunting down companies that fit what they were looking for as they have in the past.

For those unable to attend the show, we’ll keep you updated on announcements about where and when the next event will take place. In the meantime, here are nine technologies that you missed at the inaugural CorpComm Expo.
