Fokker touches on current cybersecurity trends and gives IT security professionals advice on what to look out for, including the cyberattacks being launched against Ukraine that could influence future attacks against other networks in the U.S. and elsewhere.
“Make no mistake—if you have an (advanced persistent threat actor) as a potential threat to your organization, you should take very close notice of what is going on right now,” Fokker says. “From a threat intelligence perspective, I think we’re at a very pivotal moment.”
The cybersecurity expert also touches on supply chain security, and says the compromise of a single open-source contributor could lead to another large-scale supply chain attack, similar to SolarWinds.
