Chipotle Restaurants Around the Country Hacked to Steal Credit Card Info
Chipotle acknowledged in a recent blog post that locations in many major U.S. cities were hit with a cyberattack that puts customer credit card information in jeopardy.
Between March 24 and April 18, malware infected cash registers at these locations to capture information stored on the magnetic strip in credit cards. Cardholder names, numbers, expiration dates and internal verification codes could have been stolen.
The malware has since been removed.
