Planner Plus

Planner Plus is an all-in-one calendar that pulls together events, tasks, notes, and calendars into one place. Add tasks and complete projects, set priority, status, and set descriptions for every event, task, and project. You can also search through events and e-mail your calendar to coordinate with others.

Calendar 5

Calendar 5 is an app that attempts to re-imagine what the best mobile calendar experience should be. It features task management, works online and offline, and notification. The app also includes natural language input, automatically creating an event out of phrases like ‘Meet Mark for lunch of Wednesday.’

Mynd

Mynd uses adaptive machine learning to help you become effortlessly efficient. It acts like a virtual assistant getting smarter the more you use it and working behind the scenes to save you time, manage your goals, prepare you for meetings, and get you from point A to B on time. When you replace your usual calendar with Mynd, within a week, Mynd will learn your daily commute and regular meeting spots so that it can start providing accurate drive times to your next destination.

Awesome Calendar

Awesome Calendar is an app for those that make a large number of quick changes to their schedule. View and edit your schedule, check weather, create to-do lists, write in a diary, embed photos, and check for holidays. The app automatically syncs with iPhone calendars to ensure your changes are uniform across the board.

CalenMob

CalenMob is a Google Calendar app that inherits the look of Google web calendar and makes it more accessible, responsive and reliable. Automatically syncs with your Google Calendar every time you open the app or after making a change to an event. Set reminders via push notification, SMS, or email. The calendar also works offline, caching your changes and updating as soon as possible.

Now that the new year is upon us, many of us are looking to some of our busiest months of the year ahead. The holiday hangover has passed and it is back to business as usual, working toward improving well into 2015. Budgets are opening, new employees are entering the company, and projects are getting started. This means that we are going to be much busier from here on out. Meetings, projects, phone calls — it’s time to complete those appointments that we have been putting off until the end of 2o14, and you’re going to need a way to keep track.

At this point just about everyone has a smartphone that they use for personal and often professional purposes. As they are within reach at most times, there is no better place to keep your calendar than digitally stored within your pocket. Smart phones are a great way to keep track of the growing amount of obligations and deadlines that are currently piling up in your inbox. With the convenience of being with you at all times, and often the wherewithal to remind you when important events are coming up, a calendar in your smartphone is almost essential to ensure you’re meeting all of your responsibilities.

Here are five scheduling applications to keep your appointments organized well into the new year.
