According to Lyons, passwords are becoming much longer and multi-factor authentication is becoming standard in IT departments.
However, with phishing attacks on the rise, passwords are becoming an archaic way of authenticating a user and could soon disappear in favor of other authentication methods like security keys or smartphone apps.
