The Complete Guide to Project Management Software

The Top 39 Project Management Tools

June 7, 2018 TechDecisions Staff

As a technology manager (or any project manager for that matter) you’re going to need to find a way to keep track of everything going on with your project.

In 2018, that means choosing the right project management software to plan, schedule, track, and communicate during your project lifecycle. There are tons of options out there. Some include everything for the entire project lifecycle. Some specialize in a certain portion of the project. Others can be used to augment other project management software.

Your job is to figure out the right project management software for yourself and your organization. The first thing to understand is that there are many project managers that will use multiple software programs through the lifecycle for a single project.

Microsoft Project, for example, could be your primary software for project management. There are many applications, but it might not have all the tools you need for your project. So you want to seek out specialized software for your needs. Don’t necessarily go into the process assuming you need to choose a single software and stick with it, working around the warts for no real reason.

Our new guide “The Complete Guide to Project Management Software” will help you identify the type of tool you need and provides insight into 39 different options.

During the planning process there is myriad information to track; integration, scope, procurement, HR, time, cost, quality, communications and more. In this download, you will get advice on:

  • Making your planning process more effective by identifying Who, What and When
  • Tracking projects with both quantitative (time, scope, and budget) and qualitative metrics
  • Communicating across a variety of groups and levels with an effective communications plan
  • Picking the right project management tool for your organization

Download our guide today to get a jump start on your next project.
