In this video episode of The Collaboration Space podcast from AVI-SPL, guest host John Bailey welcomes Barco’s David Fitzgerald to talk about how Barco ClickShare enables teams to collaborate using video. For the past year video has become an integral part of meetings and presentations. With the massive growth in videoconferencing, employees have become used to quickly and easily screensharing content from their own device. That needs to be replicated with in person meeting rooms in order to give the same flexibility that employees have been accustomed to for a year now.
ClickShare allows teams to use the different unified communications platforms they prefer, which can boost team collaboration. Many companies still have not standardized unified communications platforms throughout their organization. One department may prefer one provider while another may prefer a different provider. It may even change from individual to individual within the same department. Training the entire workforce to use the same platform can be costly and difficult, but some companies may find more benefits in allowing flexibility so that employees can use platforms they are most comfortable with while providing technology that can adhere to any of those platforms.
John and David also chat about AVI-SPL technology partners and device compatibility. Products alone are important, but as important are having professionals that can ensure that those products work together in a way that doesn’t hinder productivity.
