Bose Professional is adding to its lineup of videoconferencing devices with the new Bose VideoBar VB1 all-in-one USB conferencing device for audio and video in meeting spaces. The device was announced at ISE 2020 and is now available.
According to the company, the device brings premium audio and video quality to conferencing spaces and ensures that users are fully understood on videoconference calls. Bose bills the VideoBar VB1 as a solution to the growing hybrid work trend born out of remote work during COVID-19 lockdowns.
The Bose VideoBar VB1 features six beam-steering microphones that actively focus on voices in the room and reject noise. The company’s proprietary transducers reproduce accurate, room-filling audio from multimedia presentations, play Bluetooth audio and ensure voices sound organic and crisp.
The embedded 4K ultra-HD camera is equipped with autoframing and delivers clear video that ensures participants can see presenters, whiteboards and other objects in the conference room.

The Bose VideoBar VB1 also features single-cable USB connectivity, eliminating the need for separate audio and video cables at the table and reducing clutter. The device can be mounted via a table stand or wall-mount kit, and both allow for tilt to keep meeting participants centered in the video image.
The device is certified for Microsoft Teams and can integrate with other cloud services like Google Meet, Zoom and more. The device can be managed and configured remotely, regardless of quantity, making it simple to deploy and manage from anywhere and allowing remote employees to stay remote.
The device can be easily configured and managed with Bose’s Work Configuration and Work Management apps, which display real-time status and allow for single-unit or system-wide changes.
Users can control settings from a smartphone or IT remote and adjust things like volume, mute, pan, tilt, zoom, presets and Bluetooth pairing. Users can also connect a smartphone via Bluetooth to use the Videobar VB1 as a standalone speakerphone or to stream music. More info here.
