Digital signage and display manufacturer Samsung has partnered with AI-based emergency solutions firm HAVRION to improve safety technology for schools, hotels and corporate campuses.
HAVRION’s software pushes out emergency alerts across digital display networks, the companies said in a joint press release. When installed on Samsung’s smart displays, the software utilizes artificial intelligence to provide routes away from points of danger.
Using the Internet of Things and HAVRION’s patent-pending software and hardware technology that connects sensors and triggers to communication platforms, end users can detect emergencies and provide information on the displays about how to stay safe.
HAVRION says it offers software integration and microservices, giving IT administrators and property managers a way to help keep employees, guests, customers and students safe via two main solutions:
- Connect by HAVRION is a software integration platform that connects physical and digital assets to enable end-to-end detection and communication.

- Protect by HAVRION is a series of microservices that can create AI-driven evacuation routes while working in tandem with sensors and devices like gunshot detectors.
Daniel Rodriguez, chief technology officer at HAVRION, said in a statement that Samsung’s MagicNFO digital signage platform is a critical component to the partnership.
“MagicINFO provides extensive enterprise digital signage management capabilities, but for us at HAVRION it is also a platform,” Rodriguez said. “In our modern society, we are continuously presented with information on displays in every space we visit. Samsung is the clear leader in the display industry and we are strategically partnering with them to deliver the HAVRION experience on innovative Samsung display solutions.”
Equipping Samsung displays with HAVRION’s emergency safety technology adds increased safety offerings to Samsung customers, said Harry Patz, senior vice president and general manager of Samsung’s American display division.
“With this solution, we are helping make facilities in Education, Hospitality, Businesses, and other public and private spaces safer environments for all who walk through the doors,” he said.
