Networking hardware company Linksys, a brand within Beklin International and Foxconn Interconnet Technology, is targeting internet service providers (ISP) with new partnerships with telecommunications and IoT firms Axiros and cloud-based solution provider Plume.
Announced at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, the partnership brings carrier-grade solutions to ISPs to streamline provisioning and management of complex network equipment to meet customer needs.
Linksys highlighted its Velop mesh Wi-Fi system, which the company said can cover an entire home or business with seamless wireless connectivity. That’s paired with the Axiros Remote Device Management platform to manage enterprise devices and other equipment in homes and businesses.
“ISP Operators of all sizes can now work with two respected brands who are committed to open standards, product excellence and flexibility,” said Brian Van Harlingen, chief technology officer of Belkin International, in a joint press release.
“Not only that, but they can do so knowing that we have developed a strong partnership, focused on serving them.”
New tools for ISP teams
In a joint press release, the companies said Axiros is already providing carrier-grade device and service provisioning, but its implementation into Linksys’ Velop system gives customer service teams from ISPs new tools to give them instant access to service quality insights and remote service configuration abilities.
That can speed up service times in addition to providing mesh wi-fi solutions from the ISPs.
“Working together, Axiros and Linksys are providing operators in the telecommunications market – including traditional carriers, cable broadband MSOs and ISPs of all types – with a powerful management platform for the Linksys Velop, and an exciting, intuitive visualization of mesh WiFi performance data,” said Michael Shaw, chief executive officer of Axiros North America.
“In a partnership several years in the making, two best-in-class brands are offering the market a new level of efficient device management, stunning performance visualization and situational awareness.”
Linksys also announced a similar partnership with Plume, that brings together hardware from both companies.
