Digital workflow company ServiceNow has released a new workflow solution designed to help organizations speed up the administering of COVID-19 vaccines.
The company on Monday announced its Vaccine Administration Management Solution that it says can help address vaccine management challenges at scale by removing logistical barriers to speed up the process.
The new software comes as President Joe Biden aims to make true on his goal to deliver 100 million vaccines in his first 100 days in office.
The solution gives organizations out-of-the-box capabilities that allow people to access vaccine information, schedule appointments and receive appointment notifications from vaccine providers, according to the company.
The solution is built on the company’s Customer Service management solution and includes a modern, self-service experience across desktop and mobile, according to ServiceNow. Further, it connects patient communication with vaccine inventory systems so organizations can notify patients when vaccines are available.
The Vaccine Administration Management solution also helps schedule appointments and send reminders.

It connects to existing technology infrastructure and provides a dashboard to orchestrate elements of vaccine management, including distribution, administering, and monitoring outcomes.
In a statement, ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott said the world completed the first challenge: quickly developing safe vaccines. Now, it’s time for the second challenge: getting people vaccinated quickly.
“Distributing, administering, and monitoring vaccinations is the greatest workflow challenge of our time,” McDermott said. “ServiceNow is proud to help solve the complex logistics, coordination, and effective delivery to people that is required.
